NXT Live Event Gainesville Results 9 September, 2016

NXT returned to Gainesville to take over.

NXT Live is a rapidly growing touring brand

NXT went to Gainesville, Florida, in the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center. The pre-show meet and greet featured Macey Estrella, Rich Swann, and Kenneth Crawford.

Here are the results from the event:

#1 Oney Lorcan defeated Dan Matha

#2 Angelo Dawkins and Kenneth Crawford defeated Adrian Jaoude and Cezar Bononi

#3 Daria defeated Aliyah

#4 Hideo Itami defeated Patrick Clark

#5 Andrade "Cien" Almas defeated Buddy Murphy

#6 Sawyer Fulton and Alexander Wolfe defeated Tucker Knight and Niko Bogojevic

#7 Asuka Promo

#8 Ember Moon defeated Mandy Rose

#9 TM-61 and NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Wesley Blake and The Authors of Pain

It must be noted that NXT are really trying to get Asuka comfortable with English, giving her promo time in live events. People from the crowd said that they understood her message, and were appreciative of the promo. The promo itself was apparently similar to this previous Wednesday’s interview with her on NXT where she said that she had cleared the division.

While Andrade “Cien” Almas was working as a heel a couple of weeks back in Jacksonville, Florida a couple of weeks back, he was now working face again.

It is surprising to see that The Authors of Pain were involved in a loss. However, it wasn't so bad, since Wesley Blake was the one who ended up eating the pin.

NXT is still finding it’s footing in the rebuilding of the women’s division after their roster got raided. Ember Moon, however, has been said to be getting extremely favourable reactions. It looks like we know who is going to be among the main players of the division going forward.

They seem to be building her up as the credible opponent to Asuka since the division does not have currently have a credible threat to her. Ember Moon does fit this description quite well, though.

Apparently, the attendance for this live event was far lesser than when they had come to Gainesville last month. However, it must be noted that the University of Florida Football team had a home game, so that could possibly one of the reasons for the relatively lower attendance. NXT returns to Gainesville on Saturday, November 5th. This is just fifteen days before NXT Takeover: Toronto.

Bayley was in attendance for this event to help with a fan look alike contest. The following tweet:
