WWE Rumours: Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho propose a movie idea to Vince McMahon

Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho have been claiming to be best friends for quite a while now

Perhaps one of the most entertaining plot points on Raw over the past few weeks has been the ‘best friends’ gimmick being portrayed by Chris Jericho and WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.

On almost every episode of the show, the two of them are seen convincing each other and the WWE Universe with their words as well as actions that they are actually great friends.

The Wrestling Observer has reported that a live event held at London on WWE’s recent European tour saw Jeri-KO come up with the idea of a movie. During the event, Owens and Jericho were constantly dubbing each other as the Goat and the Donkey, something that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon found to be quite amusing.

Later on that night, they tried to sell the idea of a ‘buddy cop’ style movie which would star the two ‘best friends’ as themselves. Although McMahon seemed to think that it was funny, he ended up turning down the idea posed by the WWE Universal Champion and Jericho.

Going by the chemistry that has been witnessed between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho ever since they began their present storyline, it certainly would not have been bad to see them together in a movie.

Moreover, being able to play themselves in the movie would have allowed them more creative freedom and made things interesting for the fans, too.

Come Survivor Series this Sunday, both Owens and Jericho will be representing the Raw team as ‘co-captains’ in the brand’s 5-on-5 tag team match against the team from SmackDown Live. Considering the magnitude of the pay-per-view, there are certainly chances of the storyline involving the two superstars taking a new turn.

One of the possibilities could be that either of them stabs the other in the back thereby causing an elimination from the match. However, it could also happen that Y2J or K.O. may unintentionally end up getting one of them eliminated.

Another scenario that could be possible would be Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens trying to show authority as ‘co-captains’ on their other three partners – Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman – and suffering a beatdown from the trio during the match as a result.

The Jericho-Owens association has been an enjoyable one so far and it will be interesting to see if there is any change to their equation post Survivor Series.
