WWE superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has thanked the WWE universe after the Slammy award win for Match of the year on this week’s Raw.
Rock’s epic encounter with John Cena for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 29 won the Slammy after edging out Undertaker vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania, Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns at Battleground, and Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar in a Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules.
“THANK U @WWE Universe for the vote and @JohnCena for the earned brotherhood. Truly my honor to do the honors,” he tweeted.
Elsewhere, Damien Sandow, who failed to win any Slammy this year, also reacted to the awards through his Twitter account.
“Well, no Slammy. Action will be taken soon. If you’re with me get ready,” Sandow remarked.
