wwe2k15: what to expect from the game
WWE 2K15 character of Bray Wyatt

WWE 2K15 has been officially announced to be released on October 28, 2014 in North America and on the 31st of the same month on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 systems. This has released a lot of grapevine amongst the WWE faithful, regarding the quality that it will provide the regular WWE gamer. So, let’s see what we can expect of the second edition of the game, since it’s inception into the 2K franchise.

Firstly, it has decided to use an advanced head-scanning technology to overcome its fallacy of low-grade graphics. As a supplement to the improved graphics, it has also decided to use advanced lighting effects which will enhance the clarity of many wrestlers within the game. It is also using the “Eco-motion” technology used in the NBA 2K series, which brings to life crowd reactions, the atmosphere, player voices and, basically, the general feel of the game. This has satiated the taste of many avid gamers who believe that the various animations within the game are not up to the required levels.

Also, people expect more number of wrestlers on-screen in lumberjack matches as they feel that previous editions missed the required number on the side lines. Another aspect is the revival of Survivor Series matches which, some believe, has been overlooked by Vince Mcmahon over the years. But the restriction of the numbers due to the scaled resolution was an apparent problem for the former parent company, Yukes, which should be looked at by the new owners of the franchise, Take Two interactive, to provide more realism to the game. Some would also like the highlight reels and the option to create a new entrance video for a wrestler as it is much more interactive. The crowds also need to be worked upon as most of them are looking like they are sitting on thin air.

Another thing that viewers would like to be included is a career mode. Creating a new wrestler and taking him up the ladder to the main WWE universe is what in the minds of many gamers, while being pushed by the WWE authority to perform better at times due to certain expectations that they set for the wrestler at the beginning of the season. Having a presence in many earlier editions, the transfer of your wrestler into a newer game edition is something which is as basic as can be. Therefore, WWE 2K15 should try to remove this glitch for the convenience of gamers. People are at a loss of why it has been ignored in lieu of the different “memories” that people can cherish with other special options like “ 50 years of WrestleMania”, which has fallen short of the expectations of many gamers.

The NBA 2K franchise has just a single “moveset”, making it easier for gamers to comprehend the controls and use it accordingly. The presence of 12 movesets has confused many gamers, who have been left grappling at buttons on their consoles. Hopefully, the number can be reduced to 10 so that people can know the combinations easily and execute them perfectly.

These are the primary changes that I personally feel should be brought into the game to make Take-Two extend their NBA franchise perfection to the WWE franchise as well.
