WWE Live Event Ontario, California Results 2nd October 2016

The fans in Ontario got a preview of the things to come at No Mercy

5- Baron Corbin vs Jack Swagger

The Lone Wolf took on familiar live event foe, the reformed All-American, Jack Swagger in one-on-one action. Corbin won the bout and dropped obvious hints on who’d eventually go over in their SmackDown Live feud that is set to culminate in a match at No Mercy.

Result- Baron Corbin def. Jack Swagger

6- Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt

The Viper got the better of The New Face Of Fear in front of the Ontario fans with the customary RKO Outta Nowhere. This match was short and sweet and was a crowd pleaser with Randy Orton doing his best at riling up the fans.

Result- Randy Orton def. Bray Wyatt via RKO

7- Kane vs Tyler Breeze

This was a walk in the park for the Big Red Machine as he squashed the life out of Prince Pretty in the ultra short match. Tyler Breeze has been demoted to near irrelevancy with his role as a self-obsessed and attractive jobber.

Result- Kane def. Tyler Breeze in a squash match

8- SmackDown Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno vs Usos (Tag Team Championship match)

The popular champions picked up the win and retained their tag team title against the rejuvenated and repackaged team of the Usos. This match is another one of those preview bouts for the things to come at No Mercy, where Usos are rumoured to win the titles and ascend their heel turn.

Result- Heath Slater and Rhyno def. The Usos

9- AJ Styles vs John Cena vs Dean Ambrose (WWE World heavyweight Championship)

The main event of the evening was the tried and tested live event classic between AJ Styles, John Cena and Dean Ambrose. The new face that runs the place retained his title against the face that used to run the place, John Cena and the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose. The match was by far the best of the night and the same is expect of the three at the upcoming SmackDown Live PPV, No Mercy.

All in all, the live event was a solid outing for the stars of the SmackDown roster despite a relatively low attendance.

Result: AJ Styles def. John Cena and Dean Ambrose to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
