Kurt Angle is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot in a WWE ring. Recently, Kurt spoke to Mark Madden about the possibility of his return to WWE. Kurt said in that interview that he had a talk with Triple H and would be returning to the WWE soon. This created a huge speculation in the wrestling circle and everyone was expecting Kurt to return after the brand split.
But recently, the Observer mentioned that Kurt would not be returning to the WWE after all and this has crushed the hopes of fans all over the WWE Universe to see Kurt wrestle once more in a WWE ring. Kurt Angle recently took to Facebook to address these rumours and he said the below.
“In response to some of your questions today regarding the WWE, and all of the media fanfare about it the last few days, I want to, once again, say that our confidential conversation never discussed the brand split. A few wrestling sites seem to have put a spin on this by twisting some words around to fit their agenda, something that I have no control over. What I CAN control is my own life, and my life isn't only wrestling. I do not expect to be in wrestling much longer. I AM excited about my future. Thank you.”
Unfortunately, this doesn’t clear the mystery surrounding Kurt’s return. If one reads between the lines, it seems as if the WWE is keen on making Kurt wrestle once more under their banner. But, there is no indication as to what the WWE thinks regarding a possible return. It may even mean that the WWE is interested in hiring Kurt for some backstage roles or as an on-air personality.
Only time will give us a clear picture.
