Kurt Angle left TNA in January 2016, which brought an end to his ten-year tenure with the company. It is almost hard to believe that Angle spent more time with TNA than he did with WWE. But it’s true, it’s damn true. Ever since his departure, there has been constant speculation as to whether the Olympic Gold Medalist would make his return to WWE.
These speculations were further fueled by the brand split announcement when Dave Meltzer of the Wresting Observer Newsletter stated that there would be the return of some veterans to WWE to help fill the split rosters, and also to help elevate the younger talent.
There was an interview Angle did where he openly stated that it was not a matter of if, but when he would be returning to WWE. But later, on his facebook page, he clarified and stated that he would not be returning. Either way, there is still hope among the fans that one day the veteran would return home to WWE, where he kick-started his professional wrestling career and ended up becoming one of the all-time greats in the business.

What are your thoughts on the WWE Cruiserweight Classic:
"Didn't see much of it, but I'm happy Sabre Jr was in it. Very talented!"
Who is your favourite independent wrestler in the world today?
"Chris Hero. He can deliver for his size. The kid is gifted!"
Who is your favourite wwe superstar/women at this time ?
"Right now? Rollins. Styles. Cesaro. Rusev. They're all gifted wrestlers. Favourite Vets- Taker. Lesnar. Cena. Women- Charlotte and Sasha."
Angle is set to appear in WCPW in October, even performing on their first iPPV. In the Q&A, Angle says that he believes WCPW truly have something special. He is also booked for Insane Championship Wrestling(ICW) in November. It appears that Angle is doing a few independent appearances and winding down for now.
There is no news of his future or as to whether he will return to WWE again. It must be noted that Angle himself has a lot of wear and tear over the course of his wrestling career, and is pretty banged up.
