WWE News: Sasha Banks returning to in-ring action this weekend

Sasha Banks held the NXT Women’s Championship for 192 days.

WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte defeated Natalya at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view this Sunday in a Submission match and retained her belt. Apparently, the two women are not booked to fight each other for the championship anytime soon. Instead, the WWE officials have decided a new opponent for Charlotte. It is most probably going to be Sasha Banks.

Sasha will be facing Charlotte at Money In the Bank for the Women’s Championship. She is scheduled to return to TV soon to build towards their rumored match at that pay-per-view. No confirmation yet if she will be present for next week's tapings.

A former NXT Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks faced Becky Lynch and Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 32, in a losing effort. The reason behind her absence after WrestleMania is believed to be a concussion.

It was reported earlier this week that she was scheduled for her next evaluation on Saturday but apparently it has been done. Now, wrestlinginc.com confirms that she has been cleared to wrestle and will be making her in-ring return very soon. She will probably work WWE live events in Winnipeg and LaCrosse this weekend.

Enzo Amore, who also suffered a concussion recently, is scheduled to return to wrestle in WWE live events in Illinois and Wisconsin.
