During a recent SmackDown, there was a huge announcement that shocked the WWE Universe. After defeating Goldust, thanks to an interference by Summer Rae, Tyler Breeze revealed that both he and Summer Rae will be going their separate ways.
This announcement came in as a bolt from the blue for many as neither of them gave a warning about the decision and did not offer any explanation after the revealed it too. Later it was found that Tyler wanted to go back to his roots ie. the selfies.
In a video released by WWE, Renee Young asked Breeze about the decision for which he replied “I want to get back to my roots. It’s called a ‘selfie,’ not an ‘us-ie.’ The duo were one of the hottest pairs in the company and made their debut as a couple on the same night in which Tyler Breeze made his debut in the main roster.
Their gimmick of selfie freaks worked out really well and now Tyler wants to carry forward the character he had at WWE’s developmental brand NXT, where he found huge success with this self-obsessed character.
Now it will be interesting to see how the WWE creative team use Summer Rae in the main roster.
