Kevin Owens had a feud with Sami Zayn that culminated at Battleground, where Zayn overcame Owens that ended the chapter of their story that started from Zayn’s main roster call-up in March. In the build up to Battleground, the draft was approaching, and it was well expected that the two best-friends-turned-enemies would be separated to different brands so that they could be split up for a while.
However, much to the surprise of the fans, they were both drafted to Raw. Though they are not feuding with each other anymore, there is no doubt that in the grander scheme of things, they will cross paths once more.
There are rumors now that there have been many second guesses on the draft picks, and that Kevin Owens will move to Smackdown Live. This is a move that should’ve happened in the first place. Either way, there is no doubt that Owens will be pushed heavily on either brand, as he has been given a steady, organic push from his main roster debut, and has been prominently featured on television for the last 15 months.
Also, each brand is in need of a top heel, which role Owens fits perfectly. Among others, Randy Orton is also rumored to move to Raw.
