WWE Rumours: Chris Jericho to be in Universal Championship Hell In A Cell match in some form

Will Jeri-KO take over Hell In A Cell?

A couple of weeks ago on Raw, Chris Jericho failed to defeat Seth Rollins and be added to the Universal Championship Hell In A Cell match. Therefore, it will now be a singles match instead. Tonight on Raw, there will be a triple threat match between Jericho, Kevin Owens, and Rollins.

According to Cage Side Seats, Y2J is expected to be part of the Universal Championship Hell In A Cell match in some form or the other, likely to be a special guest referee. It will be interesting to see how they would play it out, as Jericho is technically aligned with Owens, so that would pile the odds against the challenger Seth Rollins.

Their match is expected to be the main event of the Pay-Per-View if the Women do not main-event the show. Raw General Manager, Mick Foley posted on Facebook that Sasha Banks and Charlotte would be main eventing the PPV.

However, in less than 24 hours, he retracted his statement saying he was not sure what the exact order of the show was, but “to him” it was the main event. WWE are now promoting the show to have a “Triple Main Event” since it has three Hell In A Cell matches.

Apparently, Owens vs Rollins was not originally scheduled to be a Hell In A Cell, but they made the match feature the structure because they felt that if they didn’t, it would devalue the Universal Championship, which is the main championship of the Raw brand.

Either way, the crowd will be thrilled with Y2J’s inclusion as he is currently one of the most over and popular stars on the WWE roster despite the fact that he is a heel.

Here is the match from a couple of weeks ago that saw Y2J unsuccessfully attempt to get into the Universal Title match
