Rumour round up: Undertaker's opponent for Wrestlemania, Jericho, Ambrose and more

It might be Taker’s retirement match at WrestleMania 32

- After the Deadman’s last outing, it was expected that the rubber match between him and Lesnar would take place at WerstleMania 32. But the WWE preponed the huge match for Hell In a Cell.

As Brock Lesnar is now being speculated to face either Rock or Austin at WrestleMania, The Undertaker’s opponent is a hot topic of discussion. Sting is quite banged up, so the dream match is out of the question.

From reports coming in, John Cena is the likely candidate to face Taker at the grandest stage of them all. Both future Hall Of Famers have faced off before, but not under the bright lights of WrestleMania. It is a speculation but a very intriguing one that has been on the WWE officials mind for quite some time now. In what might be Undertaker’s retirement match, the stakes are much higher and Undertaker being the old school wrestler, wouldn’t mind losing the match as that is the norm when it comes to final matches.

Another interesting prospect that was proposed was to turn Roman Reigns heel and have him face Undertaker which is a long shot considering the build up of Reigns as the next top face. In any case, Cena vs Taker sounds like a tantalizing option and is a risk-free match for Undertaker as Cena is a very safe worker, unlike Lesnar.

- Chris Jericho’s appearance at Night Of Champions was tagged as a one of affair by most of the wrestling community, to which Jericho responded on his podcast by saying that they “don’t know sh**”.

On the comments of fans that he just returns to put over younger talent, Jericho issued the following answer:

“To the people saying ‘maybe it was a one-time deal, so Jericho could come back and job to the new guys because that’s all that he does,’ to those people, you don’t know s**t! Storytelling, that’s what we do here in the WWE and on Talk is Jericho”

According to speculation, Jericho vs Ambrose is set for early 2016 and is going to unfold up until WrestleMania. Jericho dropped a tease on the feud by a shoulder push after their six-man tag match at NOC. It was expected that Dean would address the issue and Jericho on RAW next day, but that did not.

Jericho emphasis on storylines and the heat with Ambrose makes it quite likely that the feud will take place in the early stages of 2016 or somewhere down the line.
