Tony Khan helped co-found AEW in 2019, and the wrestling industry has been a very different place since then. AEW is currently one of the leading wrestling promotions in the world. Their rivalry with sports entertainment juggernaut WWE is fierce, and both are thriving.

Since All Elite Wrestling's formation, Tony Khan has lost many of his biggest stars to the Stamford-based company. Nevertheless, the 42-year-old could consider bringing a few back someday. However, there are also a few former AEW names he should avoid by all means.

Here are three former AEW stars Tony Khan should bring back, and two he shouldn't. Let's start with the stars he should bring back to the company in the future:

#3. The Lucha Brothers

Penta and Rey Fénix are two of the hottest names in WWE. The real-life brothers were signed to AEW for several years before they jumped ship. In the Jacksonville-based company, they were fan favorites. They were known as the Lucha Brothers, and they held the AEW World Trios Championship once and the AEW World Tag Team Championship once. Fénix is also a former AEW International Champion.

The two luchadors are immensely talented, and losing them was a huge loss for Tony Khan. Hopefully, someday, the AEW CEO brings them back because they are modern-day greats.

#2. Andrade

Andrade's current WWE run has been decent. The Mexican native is one of the best in-ring workers in the company. However, he is a mid-card act. Even though he didn't win titles in AEW, Tony Khan booked him better.

The 35-year-old reportedly departed All Elite Wrestling on good terms. It would certainly be a good decision if Khan brings him back in the future. Andrade would be a great addition to the locker room, and he could have stellar matches with several AEW stars.

#1. Mariah May

Mariah May recently joined WWE. Although she just made her NXT debut, she is one of the most popular stars in the company. Her time in AEW was also fruitful because she had a memorable Women's World Title reign. Her rivalry with 'Timeless' Toni Storm is critically acclaimed, and hopefully, Khan will bring her back someday.

Since The Glamour's WWE run has just begun, there is hardly any chance of her returning anytime soon. However, her business is incomplete in the Jacksonville-based company. Fans want to see her and Storm wage war again someday.

Now, let's look at two stars he must avoid bringing back to the promotion.

#1. Miro

Miro was a massive signing for AEW, but things simply didn't work out. After a strong first few months, during which he won the TNT Championship once, the Bulgarian Brute's booking became inconsistent.

He spent a lot of time away from programming despite being under contract, which stalled his momentum, and it eventually led to his exit from the promotion. Due to the nature of his exit from the company, Khan might want to avoid bringing Miro back to the company.

#2. Aleister Black

Black is a former AEW World Trios Champion but never held a singles title in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Despite retaining his mysterious character and forming the House of Black in AEW, the Dutch Destroyer never truly lived up to his potential in the company and eventually returned to WWE earlier this year.

Tony Khan must not attempt to re-sign him because it would be a massive risk, especially given how his first run went. Nevertheless, the wrestling business is complicated, and a return for these stars might still happen.
