Tony Khan has been booking AEW pretty well lately. Dynamite and Collision have been consistent. Storylines have evolved with authenticity, and fresh stars have emerged. The company held Double or Nothing a few weeks back, and the show was a massive success. They are now preparing to host All In next month.
Three matches have been announced for All In 2025 so far. The stakes are high in every one of them, as they feature the company's top names.
- "Timeless" Toni Storm (c) vs. Mercedes Moné - AEW Women's World Championship match
- Kazuchika Okada (c–Continental) vs. Kenny Omega (c–International) - AEW Continental Championship and AEW International Championship Winner Takes All match
- Jon Moxley (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page - AEW World Championship match
The match card for the upcoming pay-per-view is beginning to take shape. More bouts will be added, and Tony Khan will ultimately be responsible if the show under-delivers.
Here are three mistakes Tony Khan must not make ahead of AEW All In 2025.
#3. Tony Khan must change Kazuchika Okada's gimmick in the build-up to All In
Kazuchika Okada's AEW Continental Title reign has been polarizing to say the least. Many surprisingly find it quite underwhelming. One of their biggest complaints is that The Rainmaker's character makes him look weak. When he was NJPW's top guy, he looked fearless, was always ready for a fight, and was a fair competitor. In the Jacksonville-based company, he acts meek and sometimes intimidated.
His comedic timing is excellent, but many members of the wrestling community want him to return to his former self. Since Okada is going to battle longtime rival Kenny Omega at All In, Tony Khan needs to unchain the Japanese star. His booking should be strong, and he must showcase a side of himself that the All Elite Wrestling audience has never seen before. A great build-up with an excellent match will be brilliant for business.
#2. Lesser emphasis on veterans
All Elite Wrestling has the perfect blend of talented prospects and industry veterans. The experienced names have helped the company receive mainstream attention, and many of them have even held titles. Adam Copeland (fka Edge), Christian Cage, and Chris Jericho are AEW legends. However, Tony Khan must avoid putting these names in major storylines.
Khan's focus has been on creating stars this year. He must stick to this mantra because this is exactly what fans have been wanting for years. The company is currently thriving because of names such as Will Ospreay, Hangman Page, Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, the Hurt Syndicate, and more. It would be better to keep pushing them, instead of bringing back stars whose wrestling careers are on borrowed time.
#1. Hangman Adam Page must be unbreakable
Hangman Adam Page is the living embodiment of All Elite Wrestling's spirit. He is one of Tony Khan's biggest assets, which has turned him into a megastar. His booking in the company has never been weak. However, since he is going to battle Jon Moxley for the World Title at All In, the stakes are higher.
Tony Khan's booking of Page leading up to All In must be flawless. He needs to systematically take down every member of the Death Riders, including Marina Shafir. This will eventually get him even more fanfare, making his All In triumph even more fulfilling.
