AEW appeared on the scene in 2019 and changed the wrestling world completely. All of a sudden, a market that was monopolized only by WWE had new players entering the field.

Since becoming a force to be reckoned with, AEW has signed several top-tier wrestlers to their roster. Some of these stars have the ability to become leaders in any promotion in the world.

With the company providing good deals and allowing creative insight, for many young wrestlers, AEW seems like a good destination at the moment.

Even contracts under Tony Khan's promotion are not exempt from running out. Over the next few years, some of the deals will be coming to an end. While it's expected that the stars will re-sign with the company, in the wrestling world, it's impossible to predict what will happen.

In this article, let's take a look at five wrestlers or teams currently signed with AEW, and when their contracts with the company will expire.

#5 MJF's AEW contract - July 2024

MJF might be the most talented young heel in the world at the moment. Currently, there are very few other names in the wrestling world that can generate as much heat as him.

The Salt Of The Earth always stays in character and has acquired a reputation for being despicable on and off-screen. In AEW, he recently started a faction of his own called The Pinnacle.

Together with FTR, Tully Blanchard, Shawn Spears, and Wardlow, The Pinnacle appear to be a force to be reckoned with. AEW fans don't have to worry about MJF leaving any time soon.

In July 2019, he signed a multi-year contract with AEW. As a result, his contract will expire only in 2024, according to Wrestling Inc.

Given the manner in which MJF has developed his character in such a short time, it wouldn't be surprising to see him win the AEW World Championship before 2024.

#4 Cody Rhodes' AEW contract - January 2024

Simply put, Cody Rhodes is the face of AEW. He was there from the start and, along with Tony Khan and The Young Bucks, helped bring the promotion to fruition.

Rhodes has multiple duties to perform at AEW. Be it working with backstage creative or other executive work, Cody keeps himself busy both in and out of the ring.

With that being the case, when he first joined AEW when it was founded in January 2019, Cody signed a five-year contract, according to Wrestling Inc. This means that his contract is set to expire in early 2024. This is one contract that will almost certainly see the wrestler re-sign.

#3 The Young Bucks' AEW contracts - January 2024

Alongside Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks are founding members of AEW. They signed a similar contract as Executive Vice Presidents of the company and their contracts are also set to expire in January 2024.

Nick and Matt Jackson are the current leaders of the tag team division and they have helped to build up a lot of young teams.

They have a lot more to do in the division and are expected to anchor it for the foreseeable future.

#2 Ethan Page's AEW contract - March 2024

Ethan Page is one of the biggest stars that AEW managed to sign from outside WWE. His contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired and they signed him and brought him over to the company in March 2021.

A possible main event star in AEW, Ethan Page has made a good start to his tenure in the company. According to recent reports, Page's contract is a three-year one and it will expire in March 2024.

#1 Chris Jericho's AEW contract - January 2022

Chris Jericho is one of the top wrestlers in the world as well as AEW. His legendary status in the wrestling world is undebatable.

He was the first big name to be announced by AEW in January 2019. He signed a contract with them, shocking wrestling fans around the world.

It became clear that his hiatus from WWE was something more than that. Even as he wrestled in NJPW, fans expected him to make his return to WWE. However, signing with AEW was a statement.

Chris Jericho's three-year contract is set to expire in January 2022. Many expect the Inner Circle leader to re-sign with AEW. But with him set to make an appearance on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast, WWE fans are hoping to see him back in Vince McMahon's company and have another run.
