AEW delivered yet another action-packed pay-per-view with Dynasty this time, making for an incredibly entertaining watch. The latest event also had several key storyline moments, garnering attention even from fans who prefer more detail in the plots leading up to the matches.

Here, we will be taking a look at some of the more memorable moments from Dynasty, as well as examining a few segments which did not quite live up to the hype.

#3. Best: Mercedes Mone's opponent revealed to be Willow Nightingale

Willow Nightingale's consistently great work in AEW has earned her a sizeable fanbase and helped her transition to a top star. Her match against Julia Hart had all the right ingredients for a pay-off, and her title win also felt like a good end to the House of Black member's run as the TBS Champion.

However, the highlight came after the bout, as Mercedes Mone appeared to have a staredown with the new champion. The segment seemed to breathe new life into the arena as fans cheered loudly for their upcoming match at Double or Nothing.

Mercedes' star power will surely elevate Willow even more, and the TBS title getting more relevant with the feud. Furthermore, the history between the newly crowned champion and The CEO makes this a must-watch at Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

#2. Worst: Chris Jericho dethroning Hook at AEW Dynasty

While Chris Jericho is undoubtedly a master of the game of pro wrestling, his match at Dynasty was hardly well-received. While the bout itself was quite alright, it was the result that managed to enrage much of the audience. Chants of "Go home, Jericho" did not seem to deter The Ocho, as he picked up the win after two Judas Effects and won the FTW Championship.

The atmosphere in the arena made it clear that the fans' aversion to Jericho wasn't a case of the classic heel but more about how the title change felt unnecessary and barely did anything to add to Jericho's list of accolades.

Furthermore, Hook's defeat did not seem to sit well, considering he is the up and coming talent who could be a great main eventer in the future.

#2. Best: Bryan Danielson vs. Will Ospreay was an instant hit

AEW's top-tier performers quite predictably put on an absolute clinic of a match. Anything with Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson involved is almost guaranteed to be bigger than life, and both the stars did not disappoint.

Apart from their physical excellence in the match, the storytelling was also one of the highlights at Dynasty. Ospreay's tendency to be empathetic to Danielson after seemingly injuring him led to a disapproving reaction from Don Callis, indicating friction within The Don Callis family.

While Ospreay won the match, it seemed clear that this segment would be a major factor in his storyline in the coming weeks.

#1. Worst: Jack Perry's return was predictable

Jack Perry's gimmick as the Scapegoat does not seem to have gotten as much traction as desired so far, despite him getting booed heavily on every appearance. Despite this, his commitment to his craft is commendable. With The Young Bucks also embracing fans' hate, it still appears that CM Punk's shadow is a part of AEW.

Given how much praise Jack has received from The Young Bucks lately, it was quite predictable that he would return to the active scene sooner rather than later. This made for quite a lacklustre segment when Jack's face was revealed at Dynasty.

#1. Best: Adam Cole teased kicking out Wardlow

Wardlow's fall from his red-hot presence last year to his current state has been appalling, to put it lightly. However, it appears AEW may be attempting to put him back in the spotlight soon.

Considering his chemistry with the rest of the United Kingdom was nothing special, a fleeting moment after Kyle O'Reilly's match with Roderick Strong has generated quite a lot of hype.

Adam Cole was seen giving a death stare to an unsuspecting Wardlow. This has effectively sparked renewed interest in the War Dog's AEW run, as fans are speculating about him getting the boot from the stable soon.

While there were certainly a few misses on AEW's part at Dynasty, the show overall turned out to be entertaining overall. It remains to be seen how the developing storylines will pan out in the coming weeks.
