Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar are set to have a rematch at Night of Champions

With Cody Rhodes gearing up for a rematch against Brock Lesnar at WWE Night of Champions, the chances of him coming out on top again seem slim. As things stand, help from a former rival could turn the tables in his favor.

The Beast Incarnate is known to be one of the most dreaded superstars in the company. In addition to suffering defeat only a few times in his WWE career, there is barely anyone who has taken him down twice in a row.

Given the seemingly insurmountable odds, assistance from Cody's rival, Stephen Amell, could prove to be a game-changer. Renowned for his part as Oliver in the CW superhero series Arrow, he crossed paths with Cody during the later's time as Stardust. He has also been on the side of the American Nightmare during the AEW Revolution pay-per-view in 2020. Furthermore, he also commented on appearing in the pro-wrestling scene again.

"I think what I’m going to try to do is…I’m going to try to do something with WWE or AEW around the launch of the second season [of The Heels]. We’ll see. Whatever that is." [H/T: WrestlingInc]

If Stephen Amell does make an appearance at Night of the Champions, he could well be the reason for Cody Rhodes taking down Brock Lesnar once again.

Bill Apter thinks Brock Lesnar will emerge victorious at WWE Night of Champions

While the odds don't look to be in Cody's favor ahead of WWE Night of Champions, Bill Apter believes that Brock Lesnar will "destroy" the American Nightmare.

In an appearance on Sportskeeda Wrestling's UnSKripted, Apter stated:

"I think Brock Lesnar, at Night of Champions, is going to destroy Cody Rhodes. He's gonna send Cody in a funk like he's never been before in. I think he's out of the title picture currently for a while, but I'm not missing a title run for him. His interview on this past Monday was incredible. He's really gotten good. He reminds me so much of his father. It's like his father has morphed into him," said Bill Apter.

As of now, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Cody Rhodes.
