Jon Moxley will be tested in one of his biggest challenges to date as his AEW World Championship reign may be at jeopardy. Could he find unexpected help from a certain former WWE Superstar?
At All In: Texas, Mox is set to put his title on the line against 'Hangman' Adam Page. This may be his biggest threat yet, as Page is determined to take him down and return the belt to the people. The two have shared the ring one-on-one four times and have split these matches.
Swerve Strickland, despite his differences with Jon Moxley, could end up siding with him out of his hatred for Hangman. He has vowed never to let him near the AEW World Championship, and Swerve could be the one to turn heel once more for this purpose alone. He could show his true intentions by taking out both Will Ospreay and Page at Summer Blockbuster next week.
This would not make him a Death Rider, as he has his reservations about Mox. This would be a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", and he could help make sure that Hangman doesn't win the title at All In. Last year, Page played a part in him losing his world title to Bryan Danielson, and this would be his revenge.
Swerve Strickland reacts after Hangman Page says he doesn't need help from anyone in AEW
A few days ago at AEW Dynamite Fyter Fest, 'Hangman' Adam Page addressed his fight with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. He also talked about the tensions between himself, Will Ospreay, and Swerve Strickland.
Hangman mentioned that he was thankful for Ospreay's help, but he knew he could handle this on his own, and that he didn't need the help of others. Swerve has reacted to this and was seemingly satisfied with his answer. But things are far from settled between the two.
"Good, b**ch" Swerve wrote.
