Jay White was building up his credibility as a top AEW star with his last few performances. However, his run was derailed by an injury. Despite the setback, there is still a chance for his resurgence if he undergoes a significant character change upon returning to the mix.

The Switchblade is a renowned wrestling star, especially for his work in Japan as the leader of the notorious Bullet Club. He signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2023 and was making waves with his spectacular in-ring performances.

However, on the March 29 edition of Collision, White suffered a broken hand in a match against Kevin Knight. Moreover, a report stated that The Switchblade was set to turn heel and begin a new run to ascend to main event status.

As he continues to undergo the healing process, Jay White could return to AEW as a heel. Much like how Powerhouse Hobbs did at AEW Fyter Fest 2025, White could also answer Max Caster's Open Challenge. He could display a new and ruthless side by decimating the former AEW World Tag Team Champion and cement himself as the latest heel in All Elite Wrestling.

Latest update on AEW star Jay White's health status

Jay White is currently a part of the Bang Bang Gang faction in AEW. Alongside him, his cohort Juice Robinson is also on the injury list. He has been out of action since November 2024 with a broken fibula. Sean Ross Sapp recently provided an update regarding their health status.

"I wouldn't count on it imminently. Juice Robinson is healthy, but I've not heard that he's been officially cleared by AEW as of yet. Jay White is still healing up from his injury. I can't speak to the status of The Gunns."

With The Switchblade still recovering from his injury, it will be interesting to see if AEW will pull the trigger on his heel turn, which could be a game-changer for his career.
