AEW star Britt Baker broke her silence after recent rumors regarding her jump to WWE surfaced on social media. She has been a valuable part of Tony Khan's promotion and helped its women's division grow. However, despite not being injured, she has been on hiatus for over seven months.
The former AEW Women's World Champion hasn't been a part of programming since November 2024. She wrestled her last match against Penelope Ford and also teased a feud against Serena Deeb, which never happened.
Fans have been wondering about The Doctor's status as reports claimed that her contract has a long time left in it. She signed a five-year deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2021, which will likely expire in late 2026. Former WWE star Jonathan Coachman said that Baker's surely going to the global sports entertainment juggernaut and has left the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Within a day of that report, the former AEW Women's World Champion took to Instagram and shared a two-word message. She also posted a bunch of pictures.

AEW star Thunder Rosa threw a massive challenge to Britt Baker
Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker have wrestled multiple times for the AEW Women's World Championship. La Mera Mera has been vocal about revisiting the feud.
While speaking on her vlog, Rosa challenged Baker to a 'hair vs. hair' match at All In: Texas.
“I throw a challenge. Just a little challenge. Hair versus hair, you know, um, against my, uh, my nemesis Britt Baker for All In. And the reason why I’m doing it is, one, well, because I know there’s money on the table. But two, she’s bonded by blood with me. She cannot get rid of my name no matter what happens—ever. And that gives me a lot of pleasure, too,” she said.
It will be interesting to see what The Doctor will do next.
