CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, revealed that her husband and AEW star Miro, formerly known as Rusev, was not a fan of what she did in WWE during his absence, so he invited her to the rival promotion.

At the AEW All Out Pay-Per-View recently held in Chicago, CJ Perry made a surprise debut and saved her husband, Miro, after his match with Powerhouse Hobbs. It was one of the most anticipated moments, as Perry had been out of the wrestling scene since leaving WWE back in 2021.

Moreover, Perry's better half had already left the Stamford-based promotion a few months before she did. The Ice Queen recently disclosed that The Redeemer was not pleased with how she had been treated in WWE in his absence, so he wanted her to join him in AEW.

While talking to Chris Van Vliet on Insights recently, CJ Perry opened up about her move to Tony Khan's promotion and how her husband was behind the new character she is portraying.

"I think that Miro made me 'hot and flexible' because he was so annoyed that I was so exploited in WWE," CJ Perry said. "I don't really look at it that way. I look at it as more, I'm thankful for the opportunity. I'm glad he feels like he needs my clout." [H/T WrestlingINC]

CJ Perry shares an estranged onscreen relationship with Miro

While CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, is pleased to have Miro, formerly known as Rusev, as her husband in real life, their current onscreen relationship in AEW continues to be mysterious. During Perry's debut at the All Out Pay-Per-View, The Redeemer just walked out on her, and Perry has remained silent on the status.

Later, Perry announced that she would be a manager to one of the AEW stars other than her husband while also asking The Redeemer to stay away from her future client. Amidst the speculations, Perry recently hinted at managing Andrade El Idolo in the future.

Only time will tell what Tony Khan and the creatives have in store for CJ Perry and how far she goes as a manager in the business.
