Earlier tonight, before the start of Collision, the nephews of Dustin Rhodes and Cody Rhodes were in action. They shared the ring with a couple of AEW stars.
The names being discussed are Wayne (Wyndam) Rhodes and Wyatt Rhodes. A few months ago, Dustin himself announced that his nephews were making their pro wrestling debuts and that they'd be known as The New Texas Outlaws. Wayne and Wyatt are the third generation of the Rhodes family venturing into wrestling.
Tonight, they competed in tag team action against Serpentico and Jon Cruz. Several fans who were around for tonight's show at E-Sports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, witnessed the action. In the end, The New Texas Outlaws emerged victorious.
Dustin Rhodes also saw success later on in the night
On AEW Collision, Dustin Rhodes teamed up with Sammy Guevara for an ROH World Tag Team Title match against Matt Taven and Mike Bennett of the Undisputed Kingdom.
Guevara and Rhodes began a partnership after the former approached the veteran in hopes of turning a new leaf. The two Texans have been working well together since they combined forces.
At a point in the match, several teams tried to interfere, and around 15 men were brawling, with both babyface and heel tag teams joining in the physicality. Ultimately, the original tag teams were left in the ring with no one to bother them. This allowed Dustin and Sammy to hit an array of moves before they scored a win.
Following the win, Dustin Rhodes holds both the ROH World Tag Team and the Six-Man Tag Team championships. With his nephews being in attendance tonight, it remains to be seen whether they'll wrestle on one of AEW's live shows and possibly team up with their uncle.
