Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler received a great piece of news nearly two years after a major setback. Wheeler has been featured on TV regularly alongside Dax Harwood of FTR as of late.
Cash Wheeler made his debut in the Jacksonville-based promotion back in 2020 alongside Dax Harwood as FTR. The duo has had a great run in the Tony Khan-led promotion after an underwhelming run on WWE's main roster, winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship twice.
Back in 2023, Cash Wheeler was arrested and charged with a firearm assault during a road rage incident. Nearly two years later, Wheeler's arrest has been expunged, and his legal record has been wiped clean, according to PWInsider. The aforementioned was officially filed by the Florida Courts in May.
The report also said that there was sympathy for Cash Wheeler among people backstage regarding his legal procedure. The people in the company reportedly felt that Wheeler's time and money were wasted trying to defend himself for something he didn't even do.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champions recently made history
Former AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have become one of the most successful tag teams in the company's history.
Dax and Cash defeated the team of Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness at the Double or Nothing 2025 pay-per-view. With this win, the duo became the winningest team in the history of All Elite Wrestling. Dax Harwood also shared the achievement on X, stating the following:
"Another accolade. It’s starting to become the boring norm now. Greatest of All Time. Go cry about it on your podcast."
It remains to be seen what's next for the team in the coming weeks. They have been out of contention for the tag team titles for a while, but their recent heel turn may soon lead to them challenging for the belts again.
