AEW star Kenny Omega recently spoke about a popular indy star potentially joining All Elite Wrestling.

The star in question is Maki Itoh who has made several appearances for AEW in the past. She is a singer turned professional wrestler and has had a great run in the independent circuit. She has performed for AEW and other promotions like DDT and Tokyo-Joshi Pro Wrestling. In her recent Instagram Live, Maki Itoh expressed her desire to join All Elite Wrestling.

Speaking on his recent Twitch stream, Kenny Omega hinted that Tony Khan may sign Maki Itoh to the Jacksonville-based promotion.

"Well, we got into a little bit of hot water last time we had someone with a pizza cutter show up on our TV, so I'm not sure. But hey, people want her. Tony's probably listening." [0:04-00:17]

AEW star Kenny Omega praises Roman Reigns' WWE championship reign

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes successfully dethroned Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. The Tribal Chief held the title for 1300 plus days, making him the longest world champion of the Modern era. Speaking on his Twitch stream, Kenny Omega stated that he respects Roman Reigns for carrying the weight of being a top guy for several years.

"I think Roman (Reigns) has been an incredible champion and company spokesperson. I think he did his job immaculately and I think it took a lot of guts and intestinal fortitude (for) him to stick with a lot of the backlash and hatred he received over the years from fans and otherwise. He really stuck to his game, upped his game, got better and better with each and every performance, and I think if it weren’t for his incredible growth as a champion, you wouldn’t have had such an emotional finale to the most recent WrestleMania."

Roman Reigns' current return date is unknown and many wonder if we will see him return as a babyface and confront Solo Sikoa who has seemingly taken over as the Tribal Chief after the inclusion of Tama Tonga in The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown.
