On November 17, 2023, WWE SmackDown will battle AEW Collision for television ratings, as All Elite Wrestling's show will take place on a Friday as opposed to its usual Saturday spot. On Saturday, November 18, Jacksonville-promotion will produce its Full Gear pay-per-view in Los Angeles, CA.When the news about the face-off between the two biggest wrestling companies broke out, fans on Twitter reminisced about their recent ratings battle on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, when Dynamite went face-to-face with NXT, resulting in both companies going into extreme modes. The Jacksonville-based company loaded its October 10 show, named Title Tuesday, with championship matches, with AEW Women's World Title and International Title changing hands during the show. The company went as far as to start the broadcast early with a Buy-In (pre-show).In response, World Wrestling Entertainment also produced one of the biggest nights for its developmental brand as all-time greats like John Cena and The Undertaker graced the proceedings with their presence. In addition, the NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov defended his title against the North American Champion Dominik Mysterio.Despite the war-like feel, Tuesday night turned out to be a treat for professional wrestling fans as both companies delivered excellent in-ring products. This made the fans salivate over their next ratings battle over live television on November 17. Some were excited about the lengths to which the WWE and AEW would go to fetch more viewers by delivering high-quality programming. Others took light-hearted jabs at Tony Khan and even Triple-H for going over the top with their weekly show for a rating boost. Here are the fan reactions:Bully Ray belittles WWE NXT's ratings victory over AEW DynamiteWhile professional wrestling fans are talking about NXT winning the Tuesday Night war with AEW, WWE Hall of Famer thinks none of the two companies won that night.Despite the numbers being in the Stamford-based company's favor, the veteran noted WWE loaded the card with the heaviest firepower it could, which made the scales tip in its favor."I do not believe either one of the companies won. Obviously, the rating, the hard number [921,000] to [609,000] dictates that ‘NXT’ won. But when I sit back and I really think about these numbers without trying to dive too deep into all the minutia of it, I say to myself this, WWE loaded up this show on their own night with some of the heaviest firepower they possibly could not named The Rock or ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. They loaded it," Bully Ray said. [H/T: ITR Wrestling]What are your thoughts about Smackdown vs. Collision on November 17? Tell us in the comments section below.
