A former WWE Champion has been on a roll in AEW since he and his faction debuted in the Tony Khan-led promotion last year. A section of wrestling fans, however, have shared some contrary views regarding the booking of the unit in question, The Hurt Syndicate, on social media.

Since their arrival last year, the founding members of The Hurt Business have been dominating the All Elite roster. Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley started their year by winning the AEW World Tag Team Title from Private Party and have mounted six successful defenses of the gold already. The group added a formidable new member to its ranks last month in the form of MJF.

This week on Summer Blockbuster, The Hurt Syndicate defeated Mike Bailey, Kevin Knight, and Mascara Dorada, continuing its winning ways. While live audiences keep showing the stable their appreciation on a weekly basis, critics on social media have argued against the faction's success in All Elite Wrestling.

"Why isn’t MVP all publicly outraged? He had a lot to say about WWE not pushing Bobby," wrote a user.
"They seem to be throwing guys together to face them. Most of their opponents are small," wrote another user.
"That's a popular opinion. Look at all the teams they've squashed. Private Party (not seen since), Gunns (not seen since), Big Bill Keith (are they still on TV?), Gates Of Agony (?), Outrunners (what happened there?), Top Flight ([shrugging emoji]). Creative control? We win lol," argued one user.

"DW lashley will be world champ soon," speculated a fan.

It remains to be seen whether any individual or team will be able to halt the momentum of the Syndicate.

A Hurt Syndicate member has a huge match next week in AEW

This past Wednesday on Summer Blockbuster, MJF confronted Mistico and subjected the legendary luchador to his usual brand of disrespect before challenging him to a singles match at AEW Grand Slam: Mexico.

Taking to X/Twitter recently, The Salt of the Earth sent a message to the CMLL veteran by listing out his accomplishments and the vast number of renowned opponents he has beaten in the course of his career.

It remains to be seen if the self-proclaimed "American Hero" will be able to add Mistico's name to his list of victims this week.
