The Hurt Syndicate has rolled over much of AEW's tag team division since joining the company last year. They remain the World Tag Team Champions and one of the most dominant stables on the roster, but their latest challengers aren't going down without a fight.
"Speedball" Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight have joined forces as Jet Speed. The two found success against La Faccion Ingobernable at this year's Fyter Fest but were unable to beat Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF at last week's Summer Blockbuster special. Jet Speed teamed with Mascara Dorada against the Hurt Syndicate after their planned partner, Komander, was written off TV due to an injury.
They may have lost the match, but they're not giving up just yet. Speedball and Knight are determined to challenge MVP's stable once again, as Bailey revealed on the latest edition of his vlog.
"They want us to go away, they're going to have to do more than just hurt us. They're going to have to kill us," said Mike Bailey. [H/T: Fightful]

Bully Ray slams AEW for the Hurt Syndicate's booking at AEW Fyter Fest
The Hurt Syndicate punished Komander and Jet Speed at AEW Summer Blockbuster, but the villainous faction was on the back foot against the high flyers just a week earlier.
At AEW Fyter Fest, MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MJF emerged after Jet Speed's match against La Faccion Ingobernable. Lashley and Benjamin rushed the ring but were quickly fended off by Speedball and Kevin Knight.
Bully Ray revealed on Busted Open After Dark that he hated the idea of Bailey and Knight being able to fight off the AEW World Tag Team Champions like that. He called the exchange "bullsh*t," claiming that he didn't buy it:
“And Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin get in the ring—and Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey proceed to beat them down. Not beat them down, but you know… dropkick, dropkick, something here, something there. And they bumped out Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. Complete, total, utter bullsh*t. No way. I’m not buying it. I’m not buying it on any day of the week. I’m not buying it in any federation. I’m not buying it. No way.”
The Hurt Syndicate may have some major challengers on their hands as AEW's tag team division evolves, with teams like Jet Speed and Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland emerging as threats. Only time will tell whether the group's success will last beyond the summer.
