Earlier this month, AEW aired All Out from the Now Arena, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The event was a massive success as it received a variety of responses from wrestling fans as well as veterans from across the globe.
All Out was a brutal affair. Multiple weapons were used in the Chicago Street Fight match between Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale, which the former won. Furthermore, Jon Moxley choked Bryan Danielson with a plastic bag and kicked him out of the Blackpool Combat Club. Adam Page battled Swerve Strickland in a Lights Out Unsanctioned Steel Cage match in the main event. The two men severely brutalized one another, however, the former Elite member triumphed. On a recent episode of the 83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he detested the event.
According to Eric Bischoff, AEW reeks of desperation and lacks creativity. Furthermore, he called All Out "garbage" and stated that he was unable to take the Jacksonville-based company seriously.
"It's just desperation. I don't....actually, I do get it. I'm just searching for a different way to say it. And its hard. I just think creatively, they're in a pit. And apparently the harder they are trying to dig out of it, the deeper the pit gets. This was garbage in my opinion," said Bischoff. [From 34:51 to 35:13]
Is AJ Styles angry? A former WWE legend thinks so.
Disco Inferno on AEW's 'plastic bag' spot at All Out
Jon Moxley choking Bryan Danielson with a plastic bag at All Out will forever live in infamy. Just like Bischoff, former WCW Cruiserweight Champion, Disco Inferno, was not too happy about this spot. He even expressed his displeasure on X (Twitter) after the segment.
"Nobody in the back thought suffocating someone was a bad idea?" he questioned.
AEW's next major event is Grand Slam 2024, which will air on September 25 and 28.
