Speculations about a legendary wrestler's in-ring return have been doing the rounds lately. Recently, a WWE Hall of Famer addressed these developments.
In the most recent episode of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge’s The Wrestling Time Machine, a potential match between MJF and WWE legend Mick Foley was the main topic of discussion. During the conversation, host Mac Davis suggested that Foley would likely “put MJF over,” to which fellow panelist and WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long agreed.
Last year, Foley, who retired from in-ring competition in 2012, was contemplating one final match on his 60th birthday. However, it didn't happen due to his health issues. Recently, he confirmed having a private meeting with MJF in which they discussed plans for a potential feud on television.
“Oh, of course, he would. He ain't got no problem about that you know. He understands this business very well. He didn't care about being world champion and all that,” Long said. [4:22-4:38]

EC3 believes WWE legend Mick Foley's potential return match cannot eclipse his WrestleMania 22 bout vs. Edge
Wrestling veteran EC3 recently weighed in on Mick Foley’s potential return to the ring and claimed that it wouldn't surpass the former WWE Champion's iconic Hardcore Match against Cope (FKA Edge) at WrestleMania 22.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, EC3 added that while a Foley vs. MJF bout could be worthwhile, it would need careful buildup over six weeks of TV and a fresh approach to storytelling to stand out.
However, he also believes it shouldn't be compared to Foley’s brutal 2006 match against The Rated-R Superstar.
“It is a second-tier comparison, especially Mick being younger. I mean, that match [Edge vs. Mick Foley] was sweet. They had a flaming table, suicide dive, spear finish, and the angle was really good... Being present in the moment we have now, you get the best you can, but, like, that's hard to live up to,” he said. [4:48 onwards]
It will be interesting to see if Foley returns to the squared circle for one final match.
