A renowned wrestling veteran recently weighed in on comments made by a top AEW star regarding WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, and he didn't hold back.
Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell offered his take on the controversy surrounding All Elite Wrestling's MVP, who was behind these claims against the King of Kings.
MVP's remarks were discussed on the latest episode of Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the allegations being that following Triple H's rise to power, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was demoted to the midcard despite being a marketable guy. He suggested this treatment could be rooted in bias, pointing to a perceived lack of black wrestlers in top-tier positions on WWE's main roster. Mantell, however, pushed back against this narrative and said:
"I don't get it, I do not get it. I mean, how does that help you now? See, they beat this racism thing into the ground, and when something does come across that could back that up, you know, they've already worn it out. You hear it and you hear it and you hear it... And Bobby Lashley, I don't think he's been discriminated against because of his race, I don't think. I have no idea. So anyway, that's so he can talk and he is what he is. I don't put a lot of credence into what he says and don't give a sh*t." [1:21 - 2:47]
Mantell also highlighted a potential contradiction in MVP’s stance, noting that Lashley is in the midcard in AEW as well.

AEW star MVP recently took major shots at Hulk Hogan
AEW star and former WWE United States Champion MVP has stirred headlines with his recent comments about wrestling legend Hulk Hogan. During a recent interview, MVP was asked to name his personal “wrestling Mount Rushmore,” and took the opportunity to call out Hogan directly.
“I think he’s disqualified in my opinion, because… he’s who he is. Self-admitted, unapologetic, so that’s that,” said MVP. [H/T Sports Illustrated]
The Franchise Playa was referencing Hogan’s past controversies. While MVP did note that many people may include Hogan on their list, he made it clear he would not.
