AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door has quickly become one of the highest-profile pay-per-views in the industry, and many stars have aspired to appear in the show. According to Trent Seven, his goal is to get into the show at some point

Best known for his tenure in NXT UK as one-half of the Moustache Mountain tag team with Tyler Bate, Seven is a 13-year pro wrestling veteran. Outside of his WWE run, fans likely know him for his lengthy tenures with Progress Wrestling and Chikara Wrestling.

During his recent appearance on the Touch Grass Wrestling podcast, Trent Seven made his Forbidden Door intentions clear.

"Forbidden Door is definitely a goal show to get on. The beautiful part of AEW is, you can dip in and out. Everyone, of course, common sense prevails, we all want a nice little contract. You don’t have to stress about everything, a little injury here, a little injury there, they all add up. It’s very nice to have the money come in every week, of course.” (H/T: eWrestlingNews).

While he has yet to have an All Elite Wrestling match in 2023, Trent Seven was meant to face Jon Moxley at Scrapper Mania OTT in March this year. However, The Purveyor of Violence was, unfortunately, pulled from the show.

Trent Seven also detailed how his AEW debut came about

Currently, Seven seems to be a free agent and has already spent most of 2023 competing in different promotions. However, according to Dave Meltzer, the star is signed to a per-appearance deal with Tony Khan's promotion.

During the same interview, Seven noted that he has his own promotion in the UK and even recognized many of the stars that he once tried to help backstage in All Elite Wrestling.

"When I walked into that locker room, it was 40 people who have lived in my house. I was (quite emotional). Not for me, but for them. Watching all these people that we [struggled] on the Indies and they are on good contracts, they’re making money. The AEW setup, at that point, was one day a week. That’s genius.” (H/T: eWrestlingNews).

It remains to be seen if he will permanently sign with the promotion at some stage, but with AEW's new Saturday show, Collision, there might be some more room on the roster for him.
