As 2024 rolls on, many of the contracts for AEW talents signed during and after the pandemic era are nearing expiration. One of those, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry, is reportedly almost up.

Mark Henry signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2021 and made his debut for the promotion at that year's Double or Nothing pay-per-view. He became a regular on Friday Night Rampage, where his catchphrase, "It's time for the main event!" caught on with fans.

While The World's Strongest Man hasn't laced up his boots in the Jacksonville-based promotion, he's filled a variety of roles behind the scenes, including as a coach and scout.

Now, as Double or Nothing quickly approaches, Fightful Select has reported that Mark Henry's contract with AEW is almost up. According to the report, his deal expires this month, putting it in the three-year category that Tony Khan likes to employ most often.

There's been no word on Mark Henry's future plans or whether he'll re-sign with the Jacksonville-based promotion, but he often speaks fondly of WWE on Busted Open Radio.

AEW's Mark Henry recently celebrated his son's big accomplishment

Mark Henry's son, Jacob, is a top-level athlete, much like his father. Henry Jr committed to the University of Oklahoma earlier this year, and the WWE Hall of Famer couldn't be prouder of his son.

Mark has previously touted the accomplishments his son has achieved, and he's now celebrating the next step of Jacob's career. When the official OU Wrestling account posted a welcoming message for the young athlete, Mark Henry took to X to share his excitement:

Jacob Henry is a three-sport athlete, having competed in football and track & field alongside being a former State Champion in freestyle wrestling. Whether the young star has a future in AEW or professional wrestling in general remains to be seen.
