AEW has a few stars that are on a similar level as John Cena and just like him, they all have a strong connection with WWE. With All In 2025 just around the corner, there could be a few surprises in store for the fans, thanks to Tony Khan.

John Cena shocked everyone when he showed up last year and announced that he was going to have a retirement tour. Little did the fans know that he would turn heel and side with The Rock. Regardless, it has been a great run so far and it is only going to get better.

AEW has the chance to recreate a somewhat comparable scenario in their company and give a top star a retirement tour similar to John Cena. That would be none other than Adam Copeland. Copeland has been away from the ring after he was taken out by FTR a few months back.

Given that he has had his issues with injuries and time catching up on his wrestling future, it would not surprise anyone if Tony Khan decided to give him a farewell tour and one last run as the top star in AEW and announce it at All In.

AEW star Adam Copeland compares John Cena to Hulk Hogan

John Cena’s heel turn shocked not only fans but also several wrestlers. The AEW star was giving an interview with First Up with Korolnek & Colaiacovo when he was asked what he thought about Cena’s heel turn and he compared that with Hulk Hogan.

“I don’t really know how it went, but a lot of people were talking about it. When you get a character that has been around for that long as a babyface, to turn, it’s like when Hogan turned and joined the NWO. It’s always a good shot in the arm for the business, for sure.”

That is a very interesting take and something that Adam Copeland might want to pull off in All Elite Wrestling given that he has not yet turned heel in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
