"Even his friends were disappointed": GeorgeNotFound under fire for being disrespectful during Techonoblade One of Us charity stream

Popular YouTuber and Minecraft streamer GeorgeNotFound is being called out on social media for what some believe to be disrespectful behavior during the recent Technoblade One of Us cancer charity stream. While the livestream was not exactly a very serious affair, and many streamers were joking around on the server, clips of George using his soundboard and others appearing annoyed with him have gained traction on social media.

Some users tweeted that other Minecraft streamers like TommyInnit were disappointed with him for allegedly interrupting Technoblade’s father’s speech and making jokes during the charity event. One particular post claimed:

"Even his friends are disappointed in him. This clip is uncomfortable but you can genuinely sense how annoyed he made everyone, and he just laughs."

"George this is a charity event, and if you want to ruin it, that's cool, but..." (Tommy)

In the clip above, TommyInnit appears to reprimand GeorgeNotFound, saying:

However, many have pointed out that the streamers were more or less laughing with George at the joke.

This is clearly a bit”: Was GeorgeNotFound being disrespectful on Technoblade One of Us charity stream? Fans claim otherwise

The Minecraft charity stream to raise money for cancer treatment was organized in memory of the late icon Technoblade, with many prominent creators such as Dream, TommyInnit, and others participating. The streamers were also joined by Techodad, who played with them and was having fun on the stream.

Sometime after the stream, however, posts began cropping up on social media, with certain viewers accusing GeorgeNotFound of being disrespectful towards Technoblade and his father by using his soundboard on the server. Here is a clip from the stream that was shared on the streamer-focused subreddit r/LivestreamFail.

The post on the subreddit, much like many tweets on the topic, began to see some negative reactions, with some pointing out that the streamer appeared to show no remorse for his actions.

A few minutes before the clip, GeorgeNotFound appeared to be playing a loud honking sound which critics have claimed cut off Technodad, Technoblade’s father. At the 50:40 mark of his stream, the latter can be heard saying:

"I am having the greatest time. Uh, yes—"

However, he was cut short by the honking sound. While this might seem obnoxious to some, it appears that it was all part of a bit that many of the streamers were in on. One Redditor even noted that they were amazed to see how many were taking GeorgeNotFound’s actions to be genuinely offensive, stating:

“Yeah this is so clearly a bit, I'm amazed the other comments are like taking it 100% at face value”

Other fans from the streamer’s official subreddit shed more light on the situation, with many claiming that people were just joking around and even the calling him out part was part of the bit they were doing:
