WWE WrestleMania 36 Night 2 Results, April 5th, 2020: WrestleMania Winners, Grades and video highlights
Night 2 of WrestleMania 36 kicked off after the same promo video from last night. Charlotte was out first for her match with NXT Women's Champion Rhea Ripley. The kickoff show saw Liv Morgan defeat Natalya.
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Charlotte - NXT Women's Championship match
Flair had the upper hand early and taunted the champ before Rhea got the riptide in for a near fall. Charlotte took a kick to the head before being slammed to the outside from the ropes.
Ripley was in control and hit a suplex for another near fall. Charlotte countered a big boot and started focusing on damaging Rhea's leg. Charlotte was able to hit a huge elbow but Ripley returned the favor and hit Charlotte with a Missile Dropkick for a near fall.
Ripley was having trouble staying on her legs and took a boot and some more shots to the leg. Ripley reversed a hold and stomped on Charlotte before locking in a standing Cloverleaf. Ripley dodged a Moonsault but ate a Spear. Charlotte locked in the Figure Four for the win.
Result: Charlotte def. Rhea Ripley to become the new NXT Women's Champion
Match rating: A+
Aleister Black vs. Bobby Lashley
Lashley threw Black across the ring right away and kept tossing him around for a bit. Lashley picked up Aleister and hit a Suplex on him but Aleister was still able to kick out. Black stopped Lashley with a knee to the face.
Inside the ring, Lashley had control again and Lana was on the steps, cheering him on. Lashley was about to go for the dominator, but Lana told him to Spear him. Irritated, he dropped Aleister and went for the Spear but Aleister connected with the Black Mass first and got the win.
Result: Aleister Black def. Bobby Lashley
Match rating: B-
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler
Sonya DeVille came out with Ziggler and was at ringside for the match. Otis took Ziggler down off the bat before Ziggler managed to hit a Superkick, earning a momentary breather. Ziggler took control of the match and hit a dropkick before trying to get a submission move in.
Otis recovered and was fired up as he shrugged off all offense and hit a big slam on Ziggler. Otis tossed Ziggler to the outside before sending him into the ring post.
DeVille distracted the referee and let Ziggler hit a low blow on Otis. Mandy came out and slapped DeVille and started beating her up. She ran into the ring hit a low blow on Ziggler before Otis hit the caterpillar for the win.
Result: Otis def. Dolph Ziggler
Otis even got a little kiss from Mandy after the match.

Edge vs. Randy Orton - Last Man Standing match
Randy was disguised as a cameraman and hit an RKO on Edge out of seemingly nowhere before the match even started. The match was started and Edge immediately took a second RKO.

Randy attacked Edge with a camera and they entered the backstage area with Orton still in control. Randy started using the gym equipment to attack Edge but he got up and hit a swinging kick to Orton.
Edge suddenly had control and used a chair and his fists to inflict damage on the Viper. They tore through the backstage area and came out through the stage area from where Randy threw Edge down into the barricades.
They went inside the office area where Randy was set up on the conference table and Edge elbow dropped him from up top. Moments later, Randy knocked out a cameraman in the carnage.
Randy slammed Edge's head into some steel steeps and Edge still got up by the count of 10. They went back and forth before Edge put Randy through a table. Randy hit a DDT on the bed of a truck but Edge still got up. Edge went for a spear but Randy reversed it into an RKO.
Edge vs. Randy Orton - Last Man Standing match (contd...)
They both tried using steel chairs against each other but Edge locked in a submission, knocking out Orton. Edge stopped the referee's count and started weeping. He smashed Orton's head between two chairs and that was it.
Result: Edge def. Randy Orton
Match rating: A
Gronkowski leaped off the perch and won the 24/7 Championship from Mojo Rawley.
The Street Profits (c) vs. Austin Theory & Angel Garza RAW Tag Team Championship match
Dawkins and Austin kicked us off and Garza came in for a double team. Ford got the tag and hit a huge clothesline and a standing moonsault. Ford hit a huge DDT on Garza but Theory broke it up and took out Dawkins.
Theory hit Dawkins with the TKO but Ford hit Theory with the splash. That was enough for Dawkins to pin him and get the win.
Result: The Street Profits def. Austin Theory & Angel Garza to retain the RAW Tag Team Championships
After the match, Garza and Theory were attacking Ford in the ring and Vega was directing them when Bianca Belair came out and wipe her out. Dawkins and Ford finished off the heels before celebrating in the ring with Bianca.

Bayley (c) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Tamina vs. Naomi vs. Lacey Evans - Elimination match for the SmackDown Women's title
Bayley and Sasha obviously teamed up at the start and so did Lacey and Naomi after they all worked together and threw out Tamina. Tamina returned and wiped out the champ and her best friend before throwing the other two across the ring for a slam. Everyone managed to team up and collectively pin Tamina.
Tamina was eliminated.
Sasha locked in the Bank Statement and that was it for Naomi.
Naomi was eliminated.
Banks and Bayley were working on Lacey and Bayley accidentally kneed Sasha in the head. Lacey trie to roll the champ up but unsuccessfully. Banks returned and confronted Bayley but in the confusion, Lacey hit the woman's right and pinned Sasha.
Sasha Banks was eliminated.
Bayley tied Evans' arm to the corner rope but she managed to get free and attacked the champ. Lacey hit the moonsault for a near fall before Banks hit the backstabber on Lacey letting Bayley pick up the win.
Result: Bayley def. Sasha Banks, Tamina, Naomi & Lacey Evans
Match rating: A+
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt - Firefly Funhouse match
John Cena came out and the footage cut out to the Funhouse where Wyatt explained that Cena would be facing himself in the match. Cena appeared at the Funhouse and he was extremely confused as Ramblin Rabbit told him which way to go.
Cena walked into a dark room before they stepped into John's debut match against Kurt Angle but instead it was Wyatt. The comical fever-dream continued as we went into an '80s themed commercial where Cena was Wyatt's tag partner.
Cena almost snapped out of it but we went back to the Word Life days. He rapped a bunch till Wyatt called him a bully and walked out of the ring. Cena tried to hit Wyatt but he teleported away and knocked him out using a metal chain.
We went back to Cena's previous match with Wyatt and asked Cena to fix it by hitting him with the chair but Wyatt disappeared again. We went to the '90s now with Wyatt playing the role of Eric Bischoff.
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt - Firefly Funhouse match (contd...)
Cena started attacking Wyatt and he turned into the pig from the Funhouse. The Feind was behind Cena and hit the Sister Abigail and the mandible claw as Bray Wyatt counted Cena out. Cena disappeared from the ring and the Feind said 'Let me in' before we headed to the match.
Result: Bray Wyatt def. John Cena
Match rating: A+ for creativity
Brock Lesner (c) vs. Drew McIntyre - WWE Championship match
Drew Mcintyre came out of the gate with a Claymore and Brock kicked out. Brock hit German Suplexes and an F5 but Drew kicked out at 1. Brock hit another couple F5s and Drew still kicked out.
McIntyre hit another couple claymores and then a third for the pin. McIntyre got the win after four Claymores.
Result: Drew McIntyre def. Brock Lesner to become the new WWE Champion

A great night 2 of the first two-part WrestleMania. Brock finally lost his belt while Bray Wyat gave us the most unique WWE match we have ever seen.
