Blue Lock chapter 278 saw the world cheering for Igarashi Gurimu after he stopped Rin Itoshi by using his weapon, malicia. Noa had acknowledged his weapon and had asked him to use it against Rin's aggressive tackles.

The manga later saw the match resume as Noel Noa initiated an attack alongside Michael Kaiser. Isagi tried to join the attack. However, instead of passing the ball to him, the Master Striker used him as a decoy.

With this, it was revealed that Noa had joined the Neo Egoist League to evolve Kaiser. This growth would also push him to greater heights. This realization left Isagi furious, as he was seemingly a stepping stone for both his rivals - Kaiser and Rin.
