The recent chapters of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga have seen Kinji Hakari fight Uraume alone while the other Jujutsu Sorcerers fight Ryomen Sukuna. This might lead one to think that Hakari was at a disadvantage. However, one Jujutsu Kaisen theory proves that Hakari's Domain Expansion is rigged to help him win.

Kinji Hakari is a third-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High who got suspended after clashing with the authorities. While away from school, he ran the Gachinko Fight Club. This club held hand-to-hand fights between sorcerers for money.

Kinji Hakari's Domain Expansion is called Idle Death Gamble. A pachinko-themed domain expansion manifests an environment resembling a train station hosting a game of chance. Kinji aims to hit the jackpot, i.e., line up three of the same numbers during this technique. There is a one in 239 chance of doing so.

However, if Hakari does hit the jackpot, he is granted a bonus of unlimited cursed energy for four minutes and eleven seconds. This is the duration of the Private Pure Love Train theme song "Admiring You." In addition to the limitless cursed energy, his body also heals all injuries through the Reverse Cursed Technique.

Hence, hitting the jackpot essentially makes Hakari unkillable for the duration of its effects.

This already sounds too strong of an ability, but fans are led to believe it has flaws because of its 1/239 chance. However, the Domain Expansion is rigged for Hakari to hit the jackpot.

How is Idle Death Gamble rigged for Hakari?

According to a theory by a Jujutsu Kaisen fan on X @KaiyoBreeze, Kinji Hakari's Domain Expansion isn't based on luck but is rigged for him to hit the jackpot. Firstly, his entire domain acts as a casino, meaning it will do its best to keep its user winning. This is also evident when one looks at Hakari's Domain Expansion rules.

While the rules state a 1/239 chance of hitting a jackpot, if Hakari even hits one jackpot, his chances of securing other jackpots are 1/30. This is because, upon hitting the jackpot, Riichi scenarios, chance boosters, and visual indicators increase the chances of hitting the jackpot. Thus, his chances of hitting a jackpot increase to about 75%.

Even if he were to fail, faster spins would allow him to possibly get back into the fight and get more jackpots, subsequently increasing the chances of consequent jackpots. Hence, it is clear that Kinji Hakari's Domain Expansion Idle Death Gamble works like an actual Casino and does its best to make the house win, which is Hakari himself.

As explained earlier, hitting the jackpot makes Hakari unkillable for over four minutes. Thus, if he hit the jackpot repeatedly, he could fight any opponent without the fear of perishing.
