MAPPA has finally released the preview images and synopsis for Hell's Paradise episode 8, which is scheduled to air on Saturday, May 20, at 11 pm JST. The brand new episode, titled Disciple and Master, will be available to stream on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
The previous episode saw Gabimaru and his group run into a young girl called Mei and her guardian Hoko. Hoko informed Gabimaru's group about the Elixir of Life, the island named Kotaku and the rulers who presided over it, known as the Tensen. Elsewhere, Chobei and Toma got defeated by Ju Fa.
Hell's Paradise episode 8 preview hints at Tenza arguing with his master
Hell's Paradise episode 8, titled Disciple and Master, will most likely resume the story by focusing on Yamada Asaemon Tenza and Nurugai. While Tenza has to keep an eye on Nurugai, he believes that she is innocent and has tried to help her escape Shinsenkyo. However, the ordeal they faced at sea forced them back into the island.
Now that Tenza and Nurugai are back in Shinsenkyo, similar to Chobei and Toma, they are also set to meet the Tensen, as a mysterious person named Zhu Jin is set to attack them. However, it is difficult to predict how they will get away from them. That being said, the preview images also show Yamada Asaemon Shion, hinting that he could save Tenza and Nurugai from the Tensen.
Yamada Asaemon Shion was assigned to monitor "Cannibal Courtesan" Akaginu, whom he had to kill as she was deemed too dangerous to be left alive. Upon reaching the island, Akaginu tried to seduce Shion, but after she failed, the Yamada Asaemon executed her. Hence, Shion is now by himself, with no one to monitor. Thus he himself could be looking for a way out of the island.
As seen in the preview video, Tenza and Shion are set to have an argument, which might most likely be about the way Tenza is treating Nurugai. This argument might trigger a flashback as Tenza might try to prove his point by speaking about his past with his master Shion.
Previously, Tenza was also considered to be trash. However, Shion, after seeing potential in him, took Tenza under his wing. He introduced Tenza to the way of the Samurai and helped him get into the Yamada Asaemon. Thus, Tenza might plead with Shion about Nurugai, as he himself sees potential in her.
