Ninja Kamui season 2 and 3 confirmed

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Adult Swim officially announced the production of Ninja Kamui season 2 and 3 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This announcement was made with the key art for Ninja Kamui season 2: Red Vendetta.

Ninja Kamui, produced by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment with production by Williams Street, is an original television anime. The series premiered on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block from February to May 2024, and has since been released worldwide.

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival saw Adult Swim announce the production of Ninja Kamui season 2 and 3. This announcement was made with key art for Ninja Kamui season 2: Red Vendetta.

Adult Swim also gave fans a description for the anime's second season:

"Ninja Kamui Season Two: Red Vendetta will follow Higan as he uncovers a new conspiracy of cataclysmic proportions."

The anime's second season will again follow Higan as his investigation will uncover a new conspiracy of cataclysmic proportions. This development will likely be the core storyline for the upcoming anime season.

Adult Swim also added that, following the anime's season 1, Sola Entertainment will return for the anime's season 2.

Sola Entertainment had previously posted a brief press release about the Ninja Kamui game in June 2024, in which they also confirmed the production for the anime's second season. Not long after, the press release was removed, and Jason DeMarco, Senior Vice-President, Head of Anime and Action Series at Adult Swim, stated that the anime's staff had yet to announce the series's sequel season.

What is Ninja Kamui anime about?

Ninja Kamui follows the story of Joe Logan. While he seemed like an average man, he and his family had assumed false identities to hide his past as a fearsome ninja assassin.

Not long after they found peace in their new life, the members of his former clan slaughtered his family, forcing him to embrace his former persona, "Higan." The anime essentially follows Higan as he cuts through the organization he once served.
