The Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter anime is based on author Riku Nanano and illustrator Cura's eponymous Japanese light novel series. Fujimi Shobo has been serializing the light novels since December 2018 and has published 17 tankobon volumes. A manga adaptation with Tamura Muto's art has been serialized on Kodakawa's Shonen Ace Plus website.

On Friday, November 29, 2024, the newly opened website and X account for the Private Tutor to the Duke's Daughter anime shared the first key visual, featuring the main heroine, Tina Howard, her tutor, Allen, Lydia Leinstar, and Ellie Walker. The visual confirms the show's 2025 release window.
Besides the main characters, the latest visual has a tagline, "The teacher gave me 'magic.'" According to the latest information, Yuto Uemura has joined the voice cast as Allen, a young man with exceptional magical skills. Hime Sawada voices Tina Howard, the second daughter of the Howard Family, who decides to study under Allen to learn magic.
Kyoka Moriya lends her voice to Ellie Walker, the only heir to the Walker family, who has supported the Howard Family through thick and thin. She's also described as Tina's personal maid, who studies under Allen together with her master. Lastly, Ikumi Hasegawa features as Lydia Leinstar, the "Sword Princess." Lydia is described as Allen's friend since the Royal Academy entrance exam.

Nobuyoshi Nagayama directs the fantasy anime at Studio Blanc., with Kazuya Ishiguri as the assistant director. Megumi Shimizu has joined the staff as the script supervisor, while Akiko Toyoda is enlisted as the character designer, and Kei Haneoka is a music composer.

Based on Riku Nanano's light novel series, the anime centers around Allen, who, after failing to get his dream job at the royal court, decides to retreat to the countryside and lead a simple life.
Since he can't afford even the train fair, his only option is getting a job. As his luck would have it, Allen becomes the tutor to Tina Howard, the second daughter of a Duke Family who can't use magic at all. Thus, the series will explore the story of an unconventional tutor and his student.
