Studio Pierrot CEO announces alliance with Asahi Productions
On Friday, October 11, 2024, an announcement signed by Pierrot Co. Ltd. CEO Noriaki Ueda stated that Studio Pierrot has entered a business alliance agreement with Asahi Productions.
Given the current environment surrounding anime adaptations, the alliance is aimed at strengthening the system for the stable production of high-quality works. Since 2015, around 300 television anime titles have been produced every year, highlighting the need to provide viewers with quality content.
While many such works are being created, there is a need to provide viewers with high-quality works. Hence, this alliance will effectively allow Pierrot Co. Ltd. to create more such works using advanced technology every year.
This is because Asahi Productions has similar production capabilities to Pierrot itself. On top of that, they have also been the main contractors for long-term anime works for many years.
As for Asahi Productions, they have already accumulated the know-how in photography and CG, as well as advanced technical and comprehensive capabilities. Therefore, with the alliance, they will aim to leverage the strengths of both companies to establish a system for stable high-quality works.
In the future, Studio Pierrot and Asahi Productions will aim for further growth through the promotion of joint projects and the sharing of resources. These resources will not just be limited to human resources but also technology. Effectively, both companies will use the resources to create works that meet the expectations of their business partners and customers.
