To Be Hero X announces 2025 release, main cast, and more via first trailer

On Monday, September 16, 2024, Aniplex Online Fest announced that the To Be Hero X anime will premiere in 2025. The anime is a Chinese donghua series produced by bilibili and Aniplex. The anime's latest promotional video unveiled its cast and characters.

Following the release of To Be Hero and To Be Heroine anime in 2016 and 2018, produced by Studio LAN, Director Haoling Li is set to return as the director of To Be Hero X anime at BeDream. Additionally, the anime unveiled its main theme song and composer.

To Be Hero X anime set to premiere in 2025

On Monday, September 16, 2024, To Be Hero X anime revealed that it is set to premiere on Fuji TV in 2025. This was unveiled with the anime's first promotional video which introduced fans to the series' cast and characters.

With the promotional video, the anime also gave fans a preview of the cast members voicing their respective characters, all while revealing some of their characteristics.

The anime will be streamed worldwide on Crunchyroll, excluding Asia.

The promotional video also previewed the anime's main theme song "Jeopardy." The music has been composed by Hiroyuki Sawano. The other artists to be credited for the music are Kohta Yamamoto, Hidefumi Kenmochi, Daiki (AWSM.), Shuhei Mutsuki, Hideyuki Fukazawa, Misaki Maze, and Ryuichi Takada (MONACA).

To Be Hero X is an anime set in a world where people with special abilities are treated with reverence. In this world, it's people's trust that creates a hero. If people believe that a man can fly, he will be able to fly. However, if the hero loses the people's trust, they can also lose their powers. Therefore, everyone creates a hero and everyone can become a hero.

The Trust Value is calculated as an aggregate and displayed on the wrist of the heroes. The top 10 heroes every year gather for a special tournament. This tournament sees the heroes' trust get recalculated, causing a lot of differences in their rankings. Everyone has the opportunity to become the top-ranked hero and gain the title of "X."
