On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, a reputed anime and manga news leaker @SugoiLITE on X announced that there would be a Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2. However, no further details regarding the sequel were shared.

The leaker @SugoiLITE has a decent record of revealing animanga news before their official announcements, so fans are delighted about Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2's production status.

Notably, the latest season has only aired three episodes, with the fourth episode scheduled to be released on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Produced by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures, the anime premiered on July 7, 2024. The series is an adaptation of Fujino Omori's eponymous fantasy manga series.

The production for Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 has reportedly been green-lit

On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, @SugoiLITE, an X user & reliable leaker posted a tweet to reveal that the production for Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 has been decided. However, the leaker claims the sequel's production hasn't begun yet.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 will serve as a sequel to the ongoing season. The latest installment has only released three episodes so far, with the fourth episode slated to release on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. JST on TBS and its 27 affiliated channels.

Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures are jointly producing the series. However, the leaker hasn't confirmed whether Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2 will be produced by the same studio.

That said, there's a high chance for the current staff and studio to work on the sequel, especially with Tatsuya Yoshihara (the series' director) refusing to take any projects until 2028. The director mentioned this in his official X account's bio (@o_ihs_oy).

Moreover, there's enough source material available for a sequel. The first three episodes have only covered 4 chapters from Fujino Omori's manga series. Considering the manga has 43 chapters releases thus far, producing a sequel won't be a problem from the source material's perspective.

Additionally, the leaker's successful records give this news its credibility. In previous instances, the same leaker revealed the news of Ranma 1/2 remake and Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint anime's production news ahead of their official announcements.

Undoubtedly, this gives fans hope about Wistoria: Wand and Sword season 2's production. However, interested fans would have to wait for an official announcement for further details.
