You and I are Polar Opposites released its final chapter on November 24, 2024, marking the end of the story and announcing an anime adaptation. The story mainly revolves around Miyu Suzuki and Yusuke Tani in their slowly budding relationship while undertaking a typical storytelling route of high school romance mangas.
The release window for the anime adaptation has been announced, but a confirmed release date has not been revealed. The manga itself has remained rather obscure and stays as one of the more underrated romance mangas to come out in recent years.

You and I are Polar Opposites announces winter 2026 release window following the manga's conclusion
You and I are Polar Opposites, written and illustrated by Kocha Agasawa, first started its serialization in May 2022 and ended its serialization in November 2024 with the release of chapter 65. The anime adaptation of the manga has been announced with a release window in January 2026, during the Winter 2026 anime season.
The You and I are Polar Opposites manga is currently available for reading on Shueisha's MANGA Plus platform. The story mainly follows Suzuki and Tani as the former develops a crush on Tani due to his blunt personality. The overall format of the story stays similar to other high school romance dramas, with a focus on the background characters as well.
The animation will be done by Studio Lapintrack, who has previously worked on Undead Murder Farce, SHOSHIMIN: How to Become Ordinary, and Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku OVA 2. Most of the studio's work shares a bubbly and simplistic art style, which coincides with the simplistic art style of the manga itself.
Although the You and I are Polar Opposites anime adaptation has already been announced, the episode count is not known. The manga currently sits at 65 chapters, which is sufficient for two seasons of the anime, but the announcement of the adaptation alongside the manga's conclusion has given rise to mixed sentiment within the fandom regarding the anime's pacing.
Many fans have expressed concerns that the You and I are Polar Opposites anime might adopt a format similar to Horimiya and adapt the entirety of the 65 chapters by possibly skipping many chapters from the middle of the story. However, nothing has been officially confirmed as of now.
