One Piece teases Blackbeard currying favor with the World Government and Celestial Dragons in chapter 1126, and it makes perfect sense

One Piece chapter 1126 was released on September 15, 2024. Where the Elbaf Arc has supposedly started, the tides are also turning on some other parts of the Grand Line too, especially for the Blackbeard Pirates. Not only do they have Monkey D. Garp in their custody, but they might also be moving their forces to some other parts of the Grand Line.

The chapter revealed what Lafitte was doing all this time as he spied on the Revolutionary Army's actions, revealing that they managed to cut off the food supply of the Revolutionary Army. Blackbeard then mentioned the commencement of some plan which could be to assist the supply of food to the Celestial Dragons, getting on the good side of the World Government for future plans.

One Piece: Exploring Blackbeard's future plans regarding the Celestial Dragons

With the key focus of One Piece chapter 1126 being on the disappearance of the Straw Hat Pirates, the chapter also showcased the situation on Hachinose Island where Marshall D. Teech (Blackbeard) had returned. Teech scolded Pizarro for letting Koby escape and appreciated Kuzan's efforts to abduct Monkey D Garp.

However, the most intriguing part of the chapter was Teech's conversation with Lafitte, who was sitting at the Umit Shipping Headquarters. Lafitte revealed to his captain the current situation of the Celestial Dragons, whose rations were actually cut off by the Revolutionary Army and they could 'potentially' starve to death in the future.

While Lafitte enjoyed their agony, Teech told him to hold on to it and 'get ready' for the upcoming act which wasn't revealed. Cutting the food supply was one of the three aims of the Revolutionary Army as a way to declare war against these dictators. However, with Blackbeard meddling with their affairs currently, things could take a turn pretty quickly.

Blackbeard is only one of the four emperors, who has a mysterious code of life. With Luffy and Shanks disagreeing with the World Government's standards and Buggy being a part of Cross Guild, Blackbeard could partner with the World Government for personal means, just like how he became the warlord in the past.

With the Celestial Dragons currently facing a supposed famine, they would be willing to receive help from anyone. So, this could be Blackbeard's cue to facilitate the Celestial Dragon's food resource using Lafitte and get on the good side of the World Government to again betray them, just like what he did when he became a warlord.

Catarina Devon's role after Saint Saturn's demise

After every piece falls into place, Blackbeard would likely betray the World Government and infiltrate the Mariejois. However, he would do it because Catarina Devon was his ace in this regard (because she could copy Saint Saturn's devil fruit powers).

This could be where the Pacifista model would be Blackbeard's biggest defense line as Saint Saturn could still a recognized as a Gorosei, the one on the highest command when concerned with the Pacifistas. So, Catarina could transform into Saint Satun and they would help her enter the Holy Land of Mariejois.
