With the release of One Punch Man chapter 209, the manga saw the series protagonist Saitama finally make his return. In addition, the manga revealed some amazing developments as Blast spotted his wife when catching a glimpse of Empty Void's memories.

The previous chapter saw Blast fighting Empty Void after the former Ninja Village founder returned to Earth. While Blast dominated the fight using his portals, Empty Void managed to fight back. The antagonists cut off Blast's right arm and sliced him up all across his body.

One Punch Man chapter 209, titled Catch, opened from where the previous chapter ended as Empty Void pierced Blast with his Dimension Blade and lifted him off the ground. While Void was not surprised that Blast had climbed to the top of the pro hero industry, he did not think that his former partner was a good her as he always brought disaster to those around him. Just as Void asked Blast about his child, Flashy Flash arrived to help Blast.

Flashy Flash questioned Empty Void's intentions as it was unlike him to know about someone's possible weakness and not target it. However, Empty Void did not want to hear it and slashed Flash. Just as Sonic arrived to help Blast and Flash, the former Ninja Village founder teleported to the higher dimension to launch another Dimension Slash.

However, unlike his previous attempts, this Dimension Slash stopped midway in a forest. Saitama, who was with Manako, had stopped the Dimension Slash using just two fingers. The hero was unsure of what he was holding when Empty Void used his second Dimension Blade to pierce Saitama. However, Saitama was again unfazed as he caught the blade with his other hand.

Just as Saitama remembered the person who tried to destroy the Hero Association Headquarters, he pulled down on the Dimension Blades, forcing Empty Void black to Earth from the higher dimension. Empty Void crashed down on a pile of trash while Saitama obtained his two blades.

Soon after, Flashy Flash and Speed-o'-Sound Sonic attacked Empty Void. The antagonist tried to evade the attack but Blast managed to stop him using his portals. Blast planned to fuse with Empty Void as a last resort, hoping to stop his former partner and help Sitch progress in Monster Cell Separation Technology. Unfortunately, with Void's Power of Light repelling Blast, the fusion did not work.

But in that instant, with their consciousness overlapping, Blast happened to glimpse at Empty Void's memories. During that, he saw whose hand his former partner took in the illusion shown to him by the Mysterious Cube. As suggested by the manga, it was none other than Blast's wife.
