On November 24, 2024, the Minato One Shot anime project received its biggest update as its animation studio informed the fandom that their recent issue was resolved (regarding the appointment of new background artists). This meant the anime project might be receiving its final trailer, and a release date, in the upcoming days.

Minato One Shot anime project is a non-profit adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto's one-shot manga The Whorl Withing the Spiral. The one-shot tells the tale of how the Rasengan was invented by the Fourth Hokage and dwells in the untold origins of the Uzumaki clan.

Minato One Shot anime project announces its smooth production

The recent update given by the non-profit animation studio, Galactic Republic Studio, ensured the fans that their Minato One Shot anime project was still alive. In the past few months, the animation studio has asked the fans for their input as they needed a background artist to support them in animating the Minato one-shot.

However, the animation studio didn't give any update on this issue which had the fandom thinking that the animation studio might have been abandoned. However, the recent update through a tweet (accompanied by a new illustration) stated that the issue with the background artist was resolved and the non-profit animation project was now back to its smooth production.

This also hinted that in the upcoming days (or months), the animation studio might also release the Minato One Shot anime project's final trailer, accompanied by its release date. The Minato One Shot anime project was announced on February 9, 2024.

Reactions from the fans

As expected, the fandom was overwhelmed with joy and wanted the animation studio to not rush on the anime project. Moreover, some fans even wanted the latest illustration to be used as a poster given its aesthetic beauty. All-in-all, the fans were excited to see the final results and showed their enthusiasm over witnessing Masashi Kishimoto's one-shot as a fan animation.

"Can't wait," a fan said.
"I need this as a poster or something holy sh*t," another fan said.
"Can't wait to see the final project. Rooting for y'all" another one said
"This is very nice. It's good seeing artists in this fandom taking after Nishio. I look forward to the completed project for sure. Take your time, no need to rush." another one claimed

Final thoughts

As hyped as the Minato One Shot anime project might be, it might also get axed like Studio Eclipse's Berserk fan animation given how Shueisha and Shonen Jump haven't heard of this fan animation.

However, as the Berserk animation was a profitable anime project, the Galactic Republic Studios might get the Minato one-shot fan animation project released without any issues from the series' publisher given how it is a non-profit project.
