One Punch Man: Taking a look at Saitama’s endurance and whether it will hold up against his Serious Punch
Saitama is undoubtedly the strongest character that we have seen so far. Analysis of his endurance will give us some insight into whether or not he can handle an attack that is of the same caliber as his Serious Punch. Saitama is someone who managed to take on Garou in his strongest form and also defeated him without sustaining any injuries. He showed no signs of pain during that fight.
Garou, in his Cosmic Fear Mode, managed to understand the flow of all energies. This allowed him to recreate nuclear fission and fusion in his attacks, which didn’t affect the Caped Baldy. Another interesting observation was the Serious Punch that he used against Garou. The latter saw the punch coming his way and managed to replicate the same punch against his opponent.
This meant that Saitama was on the receiving end of a Serious Punch and he was completely unfazed. That being said, one could question whether or not Garou managed to replicate the power behind the punch itself. When both their punches clashed, the energy was dispersed, and neither of them seemed to take much damage. This is an indication that Garou’s imitation of the Serious Punch also managed to replicate the power his opponent generated.
The Caped Baldy being on the receiving end of his own attack seemed scary for the viewers at first. However, chapter 166 indicated that Saitama could potentially tank his own Serious Punch. Given his infinite potential and constant growth, his attack power and endurance will most likely progress at a steady state.
Therefore, Saitama tanking his own Serious Punch isn’t particularly outside the realm of reality. It will be interesting to see Saitama face off against another such enemy capable of replicating his power behind their attacks.
As of now, it’s safe to assume that Saitama can tank his own Serious Punch all thanks to his monstrous endurance that can withstand nuclear radiation as well.
