Wind Breaker chapter 163 was expected to see the conclusion of the celebratory party and normal days returning to Furin High. However, the chapter didn't see the continuation of the celebration. Moreover, after the focus on everyone from Furin High, the chapter centered on Sugishita and his feelings after the war against Noroshi.
After waking up annoyed, Sugishita's mood was spoiled and he went to school. There he was surrounded by his colleagues until Umemiya arrived and asked what he thought about Sakura's performance in the recent battle against Noroshi. Although he couldn't state it in his own words, he said that Sakura looked cool during the battle and he couldn't help but give him the spotlight.

Wind Breaker chapter 163: A much-needed focus on Sugishita reveals what he was holding back for so long
Wind Breaker chapter 163, titled Seeds of Worry, commenced with a focus on Sugishita's home where his alarm was ringing. Sugishita woke up after dreaming about Sakura the entire night and was in a foul mood. He then went downstairs where his grandparents were having breakfast, revealing that Sugishita was living with them.
He then greeted them while his grandfather was complaining about some people who were placing useless electronics at the doorsteps of people's houses. His grandmother wanted her husband to avoid such talk for now and offered Sugishita a miso-marinated breakfast item, the one that she had told Sugishita about.
As Sugishita started eating, his grandfather started tapping him aggressively on the back and his grandmother told her husband to stop doing this at the table. As the grandfather didn't stop, Wind Breaker chapter 163 saw the grandmother change the topic with an aggressive tone which calmed the grandfather down.
Sugushita then entered the school and was greeted by Nirei and Suou. As he was in a foul mood they avoided any sort of talk with him. Sugishita then went to the rooftop where he was greeted by Tsubakino but his mood still didn't change. So, Tsubakino took him to the table and offered him all sorts of breakfast items.
Wind Breaker chapter 163 also saw the other two Heavenly Kings of Furin offer their breakfast items to Sugishita, given how it looked like he was about to explode. Wind Breaker chapter 163 next saw Umemiya enter the rooftop, upon which Sugishita's face started glowing. Moreover, everyone knew about this as Sugishita was a big Umemiya fan.
Umemiya then invited Sugishita for breakfast, which he accepted without any question. As Sugishita started eating, Umemiya asked Sugishita how his relationship with the protagonist was going. Sugishita's mood was about to turn foul again, but he kept his tact and asked Umemiya what his question meant.
Tsubakino then added how Sugishita stayed behind during the war so that Sakura could go and see Umemiya's fight, something Sugishita could have easily avoided. Hiiragi then added that if he was tense about something, he should share it without any worries.
Sugishita said that he didn't understand something, upon which Umemiya asked him what it was. Sugishita then added that during the fight against Noroshi, in his eyes, Sakura looked 'cuh.' As he ended his sentence with a vague word, everyone started speculating what 'cuh' meant with terms like 'cat-like,' 'curry,' and 'cauliflower.'
Finally, Tsubakino landed a bull's eye by stating that Sugishita meant 'cool,' to which Sugishita agreed. Everyone was in awe over this because Sugishita had only considered Umemiya important and now, he considered someone other than the Furin leader worthy of admiration. Hiirage then asked everyone to calm down as Wind Breaker chapter 163 ended with Sugishita and Umemiya left behind on the rooftop.
