Shohei Ohtani has hit a bit of a cold streak. Luckily for him, it's just in the form of a snow sculpture. A fan has worked hard to depict the superstar as a snow sculpture.

The sculpture will be on display at Japan's upcoming 73rd Sapporo Snow Festival. The sculpture shows Ohtani's head with his Los Angeles Angels batting helmet, and it is quite magnificent.

That's impressive work. It is, without a doubt, Ohtani in snow form. It had to take so much time because it's not a small sculpture.

Baseball fans are amazed at the work this sculptor has done. It comes at a perfect time as Ohtani prepares to play for Samurai Japan in the World Baseball Classic coming up on March 8.

"Snowhei Ohtani," one fan tweeted.
"Its eyes are following me...." another fan tweeted.

While impressive, some fans think this is straight out of a horror movie. It's like a cursed image of Shohei Ohtani. Stare into its eyes long enough, and you might end up disappearing.

This isn't the first time Ohtani has been depicted in snow form. In 2013, he had a sculpture made of him as well. This was when he was a highly-rated prospect heading into his first season in the Nippon Professional Baseball League in Japan.

Unlike his sculpture, Shohei Ohtani is looking to stay hot

It's no secret that Ohtani may be on the move after this season. He and the Los Angeles Angels agreed to a one-year, $30 million contract this winter to avoid arbitration. It's going to be an important season for the two-way sensation.

Ohtani had one of the best seasons of his MLB career last year. He slashed .273/.356/.519 with 34 home runs and 11 stolen bases. On the mound, he compiled a 15-9 record with a 2.33 ERA and 219 strikeouts.

The Angels seemed to figure out how to use Ohtani appropriately last season. Instead of putting him in the outfield on days when he did not pitch, they limited him to DH. This decreased the amount he would be throwing, which had to be a huge relief on his arm.

All eyes will be on Shohei Ohtani heading into this upcoming season. Will this be the last season in an Angels uniform? It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for the Japanese superstar.
